Stone pharoahs line the entrance to the Temple of Hatshepsut, in the mountains outside Luxor. The temple is the largest and most prominent of a series of mortuary temples known as Deir el-Bahari ('The Northern Monastery'). The building was completed during Hatshepsut's lifetime (1508–1458 BC).
