A horse buggy travels through the Siq, at Petra, Jordan. The animals at Petra are strictly regulated. From the entrance gate to the mouth of the Siq, one can only hire horses to ride. In the Siq itself, through to the Treasury, the horse buggies operate. From the treasury to the steps of the Monastery, there are camels and donkeys, and from the central Avenue up to the top of the Monastery stairs, the sure-footed little donkeys operate.
