Llama Herd At Saqsaywaman Ruin, Peru canvas
A herd of regal llamas graze in the shadow of Saqsaywaman, a citadel shrouded in mystery and history. The complex, built by the Killke culture and expanded by the Inca in the 13th century, is now a ruin on the northern outskirts of Cusco, the Inca Empire's historic capital. Archaeologists continue to study the site, which was mostly destroyed during the Spanish conquest of Peru. The llamas add a touch of wildlife and nature to this stunning Andean scene.
