This weathered and eroded gritstone boulder stands at the head of Grindsbrook Clough on Kinder Scout in Derbyshire and cannot be missed by anyone walking up the clough and on to the moors. Kinder Scout is a peat bog moorland plateau on gritstone in the north of Derbyshire in the Peak District National Park, England, UK. It rises to a height of 636 metres (2,087 ft) and is situated at the southern tip of the Pennines which run from Derbyshire to Scotland.
