Remembering Liberation canvas
A memorial to the fallen of the 82nd and 101st Airborne of the United States of America who lost their lives at St. Mere-eglise, Normandy during the Allied invasion in June 1944. On the church in the background is seem a replica of Private John M Steele who was famously portrayed in the film The Longest Day when his parachute got caught in the church roof.
