Calle de Galdo, a pedestrian pathway not far from the Puerta del Sol in the heart of Madrid, Spain. At the end of the street is Iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Carmen y San Luis (Church of Our Lady of Carmen and San Luis Obispo) on Calle del Carmen. Originally called Calle del Candil (Oil Lamp Street), Calle de Galdo is dedicated to the naturalist Manuel María José de Galdo López de Neira, mayor of Madrid in 1870.
