A Centre of Peace canvas
St John the Evangelist Church, in the mjddle of the busy town of Blackburn, Lancashire, was founded in 1788 and closed in 1975. It was erected in 1788-9 at a cost of £8,000 and consecrated 31st July 1788. It is now used for various activities. It also provides a peaceful place to sit and rest amongst the old flattened gravestones.
