The Crimson Rose Butterfly is part of the Red-bodied Swallowtails family. It is a large butterfly about 10 cm. It migrates from one side of the Western Ghats (in India) to the other, avoiding either the SW or NE Monsoon. They migrate in large numbers feasting on the flowers blossoming in March.
