The Earnslaw canvas
This ship is called The Earnslaw and it has been in service on Lake Wakatipu in New Zealand since 1912. It is still steam powered and I took this picture in Queenstown, one of the stops on its route. Famous passengers include Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip in 1990, and also Billy Connoly more recently. I also took a trip on the boat and enjoyed watching the men in the engine room feeding the boilers and operating the engine.
