Rolling sand dunes in the oldest desert on earth, the Namib Desert, stretch out as far as the eye can see. The undulating shapes are formed by the wind, which also creates a haunting melody known as singing sand. The vast expanse of sand is interrupted only by the occasional aeolian landform, or blowout, as the sand shifts and moves with the wind. The dunes seem to flow like waves frozen in time, creating a mesmerizing landscape that is both otherworldly and serene.
