The wild picturesque inspiring Callanish Standing Stones with a stag at sunrise , Isle of Lewis Scotland. The Callanish ( Callanish or Clachan Chalanais ) were erected on the Isle of Lewis during the late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age around 3000 BC so pre dating Stonehenge. The Callanish Stones consist of a central stone around which is a circle of 13 standing stones from which radiates in a cross shape avenues of stones of varying lengths. The central standing stone is 4.8 metres high
