Chateau de Roquefere Lightning Strikes print
The castle of Roquefère was built at the end of a plateau which dominates the Lède on the territory of the commune of Monflanquin , in the department of Lot-et-Garonne. The original owner, Hugues de Castelmoron sold the building to Edward I, King of England, who took possession of the Agenais following the Treaty of Amiens in 1279. Edward I sold it to his seneschal of the Agenais, Jean de Grailly by an act passed in York on August 10, 1280.
