Columbines grow wild in Colorado, it is also our State flower. It is "illegal" to pick our state flower, but many tourists have been known to do so. You can buy the seeds and grown them in your yard. This shot was taken on Boreas Pass, Colorado at about 12,000 feet. They come in many different colors, Blue being the most common.
