The Lune Aqueduct, Lancaster canvas
The Lune Aqueduct carrying the Lancaster Canal over the River Lune at Lancaster. The aqueduct is a Grade 1 listed structure. It was designed by civil engineer John Rennie and constructed by architect Alexander Stevens between 1794 and 1797. At 202 metres (664 feet) long, it carries the Lancaster Canal 16 metres (53 feet) above the River Lune.
