Sometimes, I take a photograph without the slightest conception why; taken, distractedly, as if between takes rehearsing for the next. Such is the case with this photograph - I can remember taking it, almost dismissively. Perhaps I was being partisan to my preferred glasshouse: The Kibble Palace in Glasgow’s Botanic Gardens. But all glasshouses are, unquestionably, exquisite, as is this - and on reflection, I noticed an additional delight: the accord of the landscape to the building’s symmetry
