Tullylish old church canvas
The bell tower of Old Tullylish Church, near Gilford in Northern Ireland. The original church on this site was destroyed in the 1641 Rebellion and rebuilt in 1698 and was in use until the present church was built. Part of the East gable, now completely ivy covered, and the tower are all that remain of the 1698 church. The other tower visible is the present church. Its foundation stone was laid in 1861 when the minister was Rev W.B. Yeats, Grandfather of the poet of the same name.
