Feluccas beached at the Nile cataract at Aswan preparing to take tourists along this historic river. The felucca is a traditional wooden lateen-sailed vessel which is common to the eastern Mediterranean area and particularly on the River Nile. Once the main vessel for trading it is now largely used for tourists. Feluccas are most usually seen in the stretch of river between Luxor and Aswan - where this image was captured. The picture has been textured to give it an impressionist feel.
