Green's Mill, Nottingham canvas
Green’s Mill in Sneinton, Nottingham, was built shortly after 1807 by George Green, son of the 19th-century mathematician also named George Green. The mill is located in Sneinton about a mile from Nottingham city centre. The mill was still in use until the 1860s, after which it was abandoned and gradually fell into disrepair, and in 1947 was destroyed by fire. The mill remained derelict until Nottingham City Council acquired it in 1979. After restoration it was reopened on 2 December
