Kalinin K-7 of 1932 in flight canvas
The kalinin K-7 was a giant aircraft designed as a bomber, airliner or expedition vehicle in Karkhov Russia by Konstantin Kalinin. It had a wingspan of 174 feet and those wings were 8 feet thick. That enabled their insides to be used as space for passengers and access to the V12 engines. The 750 HP (some say 850) engines were supposedly increased from 6 to 7 to help the performance. It was apparently intended that they add an 8th one but it crashed before they could try that. Prints of my origin
