Sunset at the Temple canvas
Taken just as the sun is setting behind The Temple of Minerva in Hardwick Park, County Durham. The Temple was originally constructed in about 1757 but became derelict until it was fully restored around 10 years ago, Hardwick Park is an 18th century Grade II listed site with many historical features. It was originally privately owed by businessman John Burdon, who employed architect James Paine to design the whole park, including many ornamental buildings, of which the Temple is one example.
