The view of Whitchurch toll bridge over the River Thames from Pangbourne Meadows on the southern, Berkshire bank. This image was captured in late autumn with much of the brilliant colour still in evidence. The first bridge here was wooden and was constructed in 1792, followed by a further one in 1852. The present bridge is iron and was originally built in 1902. It was recently refurbished in 2013--14. It's one of only two toll bridges remaining over the Thames, the other being at Swinford.
