Alford Five Sailed Windmill acrylic
Also known as Hoyles Five Sailed Windmill. It is a 5 sails, 7 storey Tower Mill. Alford had four windmills and this is the only one to survive. The windmill has been restored and is now in working order. It was built in 1837 by millwright John Oxley. In her hey day she was capable of grinding 4-5 tonnes of corn a day.
