Waves crashing over Brixham Breakwater during the of the "Beast from the East" and Storm Emma. Brixham is a popular tourist destination and fishing port in South Devon. Construction of the breakwater began in the mid 19th Century, but was not completed until the early 20th Century. During World War 2 some modifications were made to it, and a large slipway was constructed to assist with loading tanks for the D-Day landings.
