The Thames At Pangbourne picture board
The River Thames as it flows past the village of Pangbourne in Berkshire. This view, captured on an evening in late summer, looks towards the Whitchurch toll bridge which joins Oxfordshire and Berkshire. The river here was immortalised by Kenneth Graham in his book 'The Wind In The Willows'. This stretch of river is often alive with canoes and kayaks from the adjacent activity centre and above the weir boat crews from Pangbourne College can often be seen training.
