Fujairah, UAE, one of the seven emirates on the coast of the Gulf of Oman. It's almost completely mountainous region. I was on my way to its capital, also called Fujairah located at the coast to spend a New Year there. The picture was taken at the roadside parking. It is very rugged and dry area (it's winter now) with lots of dust blowing from all directions. I really liked the contrast between the houses set at the bottom of the mountain and the rugged terrain.
