The transformation of each area due to snow that I revisited in the Grand Tetons amazed and delighted me. I hadn't thought that the lakes in the area would still be frozen, but most of them were, or just starting to thaw in spots or around the edges. This expanse of smooth snow covered ice on Jackson Lake blew me away with its stark beauty.
