The Scallop canvas
The Scallop Shell sculpture by Maggie Hambling on Aldeburgh beach, Suffolk, UK. I lit the shell to look like stage spotlighting. The words on the shell are from Britten's opera Peter Grimes and lit it to look like a spot light shining on the performer singing the song. In this case the singer is the Scallop. Sometimes the Opera is performed outside on the beach during the Festival and this inspired the image. This was lit using a Maglite torch.
