The Grace Spitfire canvas
Built in Early 1944, the Grace Spitfire shot down the first enemy aircraft on D-Day. In 1950, she was converted into a two-seater. From 1979 to 1985, she was restored by Nick and Carolyn Grace, during which time, they added the 'Grace In-Line Canopy', which helped retain the Spitfires classic lines. This photo was taken at the Victory Show, Cosby, in September 2014, with Richard Grace (Nick and Carolyns Son) at the controls.
