The roofline of the Royal Pavilion, Brighton. This started life as a small farmhouse which was rented by George Prince of Wales in the 1780s. He enlarged the building in 1787 and in 1815, having now become Prince Regent, he commissioned John Nash to transform it into the spectacular if not improbable building we see now on Brighton's seafront.
