St Tysilio's Church, Anglesey canvas
Tysilio, son of Brochwel, King of Powys established a religious cell on this island, named Ynys y Suliau, in the 7th century. He was a man of peace who escaped from war. The present Church was built in the fifteenth century and was the Parish Church until 1858 and the Churchyard served as the town burial ground until 1955.
