I usually think of the red poppies we wear in Britain on Remembrance Day in November, I don’t usually think of the great variety that exists like the French Flounce, yet this is one of the nicest looking of all the red poppies about. The French flounce Poppy is a perennial plant of damp, shady, hilly or rocky places, and is also found on walls and roadsides. It flowers from June to August and attracts pollinating bees and insects. It is an ideal plant to brighten up a shady corner in a garden.
