Holy Cross Church, is an active Anglican parish church in the diocese of Chester, the archdeaconry of Chester and the deanery of Birkenhead. The medieval building (12C with 14C and 16C additions) was tastefully enlarged and reordered in the 1960s. The present church, built of local red sandstone, is a grade II* listed building, consisting of a 12th century nave; a south aisle, chancel and tower all dating from the 14th century, a 16th century porch; and a 20th century north aisle.
