Here we can see perch Rock Lighthouse with Fort Perch Rock to the right. To the left is a fellow photographer settling down to take pictures of the lighthouse alone. Fort Perch Rock is a former defence installation situated at the mouth of Liverpool Bay in New Brighton whilst the lighthouse was built c 1827. The Lighthouse last shone its light on 1st October 1973 as it was no longer needed on account of the radar system operating in the River.
