This is an abandoned gold mine in Virginia City Nevada. It has been dubbed "the American Flats". It has been abandoned since the 1960s. Its a multi-tier structure which is very easy to get lost in. This photo was shot on the second tier looking up at the 1st, and using a editing program i added a space filter. This gold mine will be torn down the summer of 2014 due to the health and safety hazards it presents. Own an image of iconic American history.
