MS Marina off Inchgarvie canvas
The small island of Inchgarvie (or Inch Garvie) in the River Forth in East Central Scotland nestles beneath the middle cantilever pier of the World Famous Forth Bridge. Inchgarvie was the site of a castle built for King James IV and has been used as a compulsory refuge for victims of the Grandgore, (syphilis), a prison and a place of exile for the plague-stricken. At anchor on the seaward side of the Bridge is the MS Marina, a 66,000 ton Cruise Ship belonging to Oceania Cruises.
