Spinalongas Housing District acrylic
The Island of Spinalonga can be found just off the North-East Crete coastline. Its historical value lies in the 20th century leper colony which populated the island from 1903 to 1957 in which terminally ill people worked, lived, found love, and even married. Now all that is left of this island prison is the ruin of a once lively and enslaved settlement.
