This split cedar rail fence follows a curving hillside through dry grass and brush of Prince Edward County in Ontario, Canada. Many of the county’s colonial homesteads retain some vestiges of its historic past. The county was settled by United Empire Loyalists choosing to remain under British rule as the United States fought its War of Independence in 1775-6.
