This old boat is laid up on the beach at Port Navas an Estuary off the River Helford. Helford is a small hamlet on the river it is split both sides of the river Helford Village one side and Helford Passage on the other; there is a pedestrian ferry from one side to the other the famous Ferry Boat in on the Helford Passage side The Helford Yacht club is on the other side. Just a little further up the River is Frenchman’s Creek, made famous by Daphne du Maurier in her novel of the same name.
