A street in the old town of Lublin, curving due to the onion like growth of the city over the centuries. If this scene is slightly reminiscent of Disney film scenes it is worth remembering that a lot of the people working in Hollywood came from this part of the world. Lublin is remarkable even among Polish old towns, a gem often overlooked. By the 19th century this had become a primarily Jewish district, and postwar a place to house criminals and their families.
