Wheal Coates Mine - Cornwall print
The same Engine house from a different angle. The Wheal Coates mine at St. Agnes in Cornwall opened in 1802 and was worked for Tin & Copper until its closure in 1889. It was re-opened for a short period between 1911 and 1913 when it was finally closed. These days the remains of the old engine house stands proud on top of the cliffs probable glad of the rest, admiring the view and watching the surfers riding the waves hundreds of feet below.
