Castle and Crane print
Blackness Castle on the outskirts of Blackness village, near Linlithgow, Scotland at low tide. Looking North-East over the River Forth to Fife on the opposite shore. The castle is first mentioned in 1449, although there had been a port at Blackness serving the royal burgh of Linlithgow since the thirteenth century. On the other side of the River Forth at Rosyth Dockyards is one of the largest Gantry Cranes in the UK.
