This madonna statue stands in front of the Catholic Cathedral in Saigon Vietnam. The Notre Dame Cathedral in Ho Chi Minh City was constructed between 1863 and 1880. It has two bell towers, reaching a height of 58 meters (190 feet). The Virgin Mary statue was made in Italy in 1959, it was carved in white marble by sculptor Giuseppe Ciocchetti. The Virgin Mary is standing up straight with one foot on the head of a serpent while holding in her hands the earth globe with a crucifix attach to it.
