Lismore Lighthouse canvas
At the southern tip of Lismore, on the islet of Eilean Musdile, Lismore Lighthouse was first lit in 1833. Its first keeper was a direct descendant of castaway Alexander Selkirk, the inspiration for ‘Robinson Crusoe’. The Oban – Isle of Mull ferry from which this image was captured passes close by. The light was very dramatic but then that is Scotland - Very dramatic
