Falmouth Oyster Working Boat sailing at Flushing regatta In Cornwall United Kingdom. These sailing boats are used to dredge oysters from the fishery in the Carrick Roads. It is illegal to use an engine it has to be done by sail or in a punt (rowing boat) by hand.It has been fished this way since the 1860. It is very hard work I know as I did it for a couple of seasons witch start in October and finish in March. These boats can be seen sailing in the summer at local regattas.
