Menai Suspension Bridge canvas
The Menai Suspension Bridge connecting the welsh mainland to Anglesey in north-west Wales. Built by the famous Scottish engineer, Thomas Telford, the bridge spans the treacherous waters of the Menai Straits. This is the same image as #141530 but any evidence of modern buildings has been removed to provide an image of what the bridge would have looked like in 1826 when it was opened.
