Pulls Ferry Water Gate Norwich canvas
Pulls Ferry is a 15th Century flint built water gate into Norwich and the ferry provided a means to cross the RiverWensum. The pathway that can be seen under the arch was originally a canal and was used by Monks to transport stone, which had been brought from France, then along the Rivers Yare and Wensum, to build the Norman Catherdral that lies directly behind. Named after John Pull, Ferryman.
