A Bridge Over The Infant Thames picture board
A wooden footbridge spans the infant River Thames as it flows past the town of Cricklade in North Wiltshire. A far cry here from the mighty and busy river as it passes through Reading and London. Here, near its source in the Cotswolds, it is little more than a stream which occasionally disappears as it makes its way through undergrowth! Cricklade is also the start of the Thames Path - a National long distance trail which follows the course of the river and finishes in Woolwich, London.
