The famous Jamaica Inn. Subject of a Daphne Du Maurier novel, a film and television series and infamous hang out of smugglers, pirates, highwaymen and ghosts. Located near the middle of Bodmin Moor, it was built as a coaching house in 1750 as a staging post for changing horses during stagecoach runs over the moor.
