Moat Low, winter panoramic acrylic
Moat Low (pictured here on the distant horizon) is a Bronze Age barrow and circular cairn on a hilltop in the south-western ridges of the Derbyshire limestone plateau and close to the A515 Ashbourne to Buxton road. The site was Partial excavation by Thomas Bateman in 1845 and revealed a rock-cut grave containing two skeletons, burnt bones and a bronze flat axe.
