The Elusive European Moose picture board
This female European Moose, also known as an Elk, expertly hid in the bushes while keeping a watchful eye on me. These herbivores must eat all day to fill up, consuming any kind of vegetation to reach their daily requirement of 10,000 calories. Fun fact: the name "moose" originated from the Algonquin word for twig-eater. With four-chambered stomachs like cows, they're the giants of the forest, only outweighed by European bison.
